CONVERSATION AT THE BOOK STORE

**At the Campus**

A : Hi B, how are you?

B : Hi. I am doing fine. Thank you, How’s everything?

A : Everything is gonna be okay. Ehm, would you like to accompany me to the library after lunch?

A : Of couse yes, actually I’d like to go there.

B : Alright. We meet at DD Canteen okay?

A : Okay.

B : By the way, what book will you borrow?

A : I’m looking for Computer Organization and Architecture, what about you?

B : I’m looking for Spanish-Textbook.

A : Let us check in the catalogue.

**At the Library**

A : I didn’t find anything. My brother said that this book is rare.

B : What A pitty. I got it..! Why don’t you go to the bookstore?

A : Yeah. But I don’t know where is it location in this city? I’m a new comer here.

B : So do I. But I think Gramedia is right. Let ask C. May be he knows. I’ll call him.

**Telephone Conversation**

B : Hello C. How are you?

C : Hi. I’m fine. What’s up?

B : Where are you?

C : I’m in the library.

B : [laugh] wuw. I Also in the library. Which floor?

C : 3rd floor. Where are you?

B : I’m on the 2nd floor. Let’s meet now. I’ll go there.

C : Okay. I’m waiting near Social Section.

**At the Library**

B : C is in the 3rd floor. Let us go upstair to meet him.

A : Okay.

B : Hello C. Nice to meet you. He is my friend A from Electronic Engineering Major.

C : Hi A. Nice to meet you.

A : Nice to meet you too. What is your major?

C : My major is Economic of Development.

B : C, We are new comer here. Would you tell me where is the nearest and good bookstore around

here?

C : I think Gramedia Bookstore is the right choice. It’s at Damar Street.

A : How can we get there?

C : You can take the public tranport near our campus gate. Choose the orange colored car.

B : Okay thank you.

**At the bookstore**

D : Can I help you? Are you looking for something in particular?

B : Yes. Well.. I’m looking for the Computer Section.

D : It’s right down here. Here we are. “Computer Section”. What major are you?

B : Electronic Engineering. What I’m looking is Computer Organization and Architecture, William

Stalling.The 6th Edition.

D : Mmm. William Stalling.. Ha, here it is. Here you are.

B : Rp150.000?? The price is right, but, erm. It in English. This is the only edition you have?

D : Yes, it is. I’m sorry.

B : How many copies do you have left? Just those on the shelf?

D : Yes. Four—no. Five copies.

B : Those will be gone by Friday for sure.

A : What’s your return policy? Would it be okay if B bought this now, and then returned it if he can

find an annotated edition?

D : Yes, certainly. But you’ll need to keep your receipt, of course, and be sure that the book is not

marked up or damaged in anyway.

B : That’s fair enough.

D : Did you want me to check wether we can find you another edition?

B : I don’t think I have time. It usually takes so long to get a book from a book store.

A : Yeah. I think so.

D : [laugh] Unfortunately. Thats often true.

B : Thanks anyway. I’ll take this.
